During the past years Austrian baritone Florian Boesch has established himself as one of the most leading lied interpreters of his generation. Since starting his career he has frequently worked on the fields of lieder and has since been invited to the Wiener Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, London Wigmore Hall, International Edinburgh Festival, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Philharmonie Köln, and Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussels. He also could be heard in Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Japan, Canada and the United States.

Operatic engagements have taken him to renowned venues and festivals such as Salzburger Festspiele (COSI FAN TUTTE/ Guglielmo), Theater an der Wien (world premiere of a staged versionof Handel´s MESSIAH), Hamburgische Staatsoper (RADAMISTO/ Tiridate), Handel Festspiele Halle, Bregenzer Festspiele, Tokyo, Los Angeles, or Moscow Bolshoi Theatre (DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE/ Papageno), and in 2011 to Oper Köln for his first staged Wozzeck.
The baritone is also a frequent guest on the concert platform. Engagements have taken him to renowned venues and festivals such as Wiener Musikverein, Wiener and Berliner Konzerthaus, Concertrgebouw Amsterdam, Haydn Festival Eisenstadt, or Théâtre du Châtelet. Boesch is regularly working with conductors such as N. Harnoncourt, Sir Roger Norrington, A. Fischer, or Ph. Herreweghe.

Boesch`s CD with lieder and ballads by Carl Loewe was released in May 2011 for Hyperion (piano: R. Vignoles). His most recent CD Franz Schubert ? Winterreise has been released for Onyx classics in October 2011 (piano: Malcolm Martineau).
